Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the imminent release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier accused of running a child sex trafficking network. This action fulfills one of President Donald Trump’s campaign promises to declassify information linked to the Epstein case.
Bondi detailed that the documents include flight logs and a contact list featuring names of celebrities and politicians such as Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin, and Ethel Kennedy. While these names have been revealed, addresses and other personal information have been redacted to protect privacy. It is important to note that being mentioned in the documents does not imply any wrongdoing but rather reflects Epstein’s social connections.
The attorney general emphasized that measures have been taken to protect the identities of over 250 victims identified in the files. The publication of these documents aims to shed light on Epstein’s activities and his associates, fulfilling the transparency commitment of the current administration.
During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump pledged to release files related to sensitive cases, including Jeffrey Epstein’s. This disclosure marks a significant step in keeping that promise and in efforts to clarify one of the most controversial scandals in recent years.
